New Delhi: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has once again shocked the world today. India’s most powerful rocket LVM3-M6 made a historic flight from Sriharikota on Wednesday morning. It successfully launched the American company’s ‘Blue Bird Block-2’ satellite into orbit. This was the heaviest payload (6100 kg) ever in the history of ISRO. After this spectacular success, ISRO Chief Dr. V. Narayanan had a special conversation with News18. He told that this victory is just a beginning. Three big missions are going to be launched next year. Besides, work on Chandrayaan-4 and 5 is also going on in ‘fast track’ mode.

After success, Dr. Narayanan said – This rocket is our ‘Maruti’

After the launch, Dr. V. Narayanan told News18 that the LVM3 rocket is as reliable as Maruti for ISRO. He said, ‘This is the same rocket which launched Chandrayaan-2 and Chandrayaan-3. Today it has made its sixth consecutive successful flight. He said that when a rocket succeeds so many times without any mistake, the trust in it deepens. This is the reason why this rocket has been selected for the Gaganyaan mission. Today’s success has completely cleared the way for Gaganyaan.

There will be 3 big explosions next year, a tough test before sending humans

  • Giving update on Gaganyaan mission, Dr. Narayanan said that we do not want to take any risk. There will be strict tests before sending humans in 2027. He told that next year we are targeting to launch 3 ‘uncrewed missions’ (unmanned).
  • The safety of the rocket and crew module will be tested in these missions. ISRO is moving forward with full preparation under the vision of PM Modi. Only when these three tests are successful will Indian astronauts be sent to space.
  • Work on Chandrayaan-4 and 5 accelerated, government gave free rein ISRO Chief gave another big good news. He told that the government has approved Chandrayaan-4 and Chandrayaan-5. Now work on these is going on in ‘fast track’ mode.
  • He said, ‘At ISRO we say that the reward for hard work is more work. The government has given us an opportunity to perform for the common man. Scientists in ISRO’s lab are working day and night preparing for these future missions.

Will join hands with private companies, now start-ups will make a splash in space

Dr. Narayanan also talked about the changes coming in the space sector. He said that after the reforms of the government, now start-ups are also making orbital rockets. ISRO is ‘hand-holding’ these new companies. They are being given technology and guidance. The first private rocket has appeared. Soon we will see that private companies are launching satellites with their own rockets. This is a big step towards making India ‘Developed India 2047’.
