Will SP get Congress’s support in 2027? The alliance should not break in preparation for 403! Why did the notes differ?

Lucknow: Congress is intensifying efforts to strengthen its organization in Uttar Pradesh and is preparing to contest all 403 seats in the 2027 assembly elections. However, the final decision on the alliance will be taken by the high command. Senior leaders of the party said this in Mumbai on Monday. In an informal interaction with media persons on the sidelines of an event organized by the Congress’ North Indian cell in Mumbai, party general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Avinash Pandey and UP Congress president Ajay Rai said preparations have started at the ground level across the state.

Congress is strengthening itself in UP
Pandey said the Congress has so far appointed around 1.69 lakh booth-level agents (BLAs), who are engaged in voter verification under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign at almost all polling booths. Whereas in UP, about two lakh party workers have been registered and trained. While talking to News18 India, Samajwadi Party spokesperson Anurag Bhadauria said that Congress might be talking about strengthening its organization. But SP believes that the party supports someone and makes friends and does not leave the friend when he is in trouble. We can defeat BJP only by staying together.

SP’s statement on supporting Congress
Apart from this, he said that every party has the right to strengthen itself and SP has no objection in this. Congress must be making its preparations. But SP is connected to the grassroots. SP’s national president Akhilesh Yadav is seen as the biggest leader of the opposition. SP is a very strong pillar in Uttar Pradesh. UP Congress President Ajay Rai said, ‘I was also present at a felicitation program in Mumbai, whatever the incharge ji said, I was also present there. There was talk of strength in the organization. Organizations are working to create, strengthen and build organizations. With full preparation, we are working to strengthen the organization on 403 assembly seats.

Will Congress contest the elections alone?
On contesting the elections alone, Ajay Rai said that Congress has become strong in many states. The rest will work as per the decision taken by the national leadership. Till now the India alliance is working strongly, in the last elections SP benefited from Congress and Congress benefited from SP. On UP Congress elections, Tariq Anwar said, ‘UP elections are still far away, work should be done to strengthen the organization and Congress is a national party. The organization at the grassroots level should be strong and this is beneficial in case of forming alliances. If we work hard then the organization can become strong. This is the responsibility of the UP in-charge and officials, this is the order of the leadership.
